How It’s Made Episode to Feature Metal Caskets from Astral Industries

LYNN, Ind. - If you’ve ever wanted to know how a metal casket was made, you’ll have a chance to see how it's done on "How It's Made," airing at 9 p.m. (ET) July 19 on the Science Channel.

Spotlighting how common, everyday items are manufactured, "How It's Made'' recently filmed a segment at Astral Industries, focusing on how the company makes metal caskets.

Astral’s manufacturing process is unique because the entire production cycle, from a raw coil of steel to the final inspection, takes place under one roof. Viewers will be guided through this process in the five-minute segment, including the company’s automated powder coating system, another unique characteristic of Astral.

Visit howitsmade.com for information on the show and to view the segment after the original air date. For more information on Astral Industries, email sales@astralindustries.com or call 800-278-7252.
