BROOKFIELD, Wis. – Randy Anderson, CFSP, and Kenneth A. Cahall, CFSP, have been elected to serve as at-large representatives on the National Funeral Directors Association executive board, according to a news release. The two were a meeting of the NFDA Policy Board on July 21 in Santa Ana Pueblo, N.M.
Anderson and Cahall will begin two-year terms of service immediately following the 2012 NFDA International Convention & Expo, Oct. 7-10 in Charlotte, N.C.
Anderson is the owner and manager of Radney Funeral Home in Alexander City, Ala. He has served the Alabama Funeral Directors Association in a number of roles, including as a member of several committees. He has also been a member of AFDA's board of directors and held the positions of secretary/treasurer, vice president, president-elect and president. He is currently Alabama's representative to the NFDA Policy Board. In addition, he has served NFDA as a member of the budget committee.
Anderson enjoys giving back to his community, and has volunteered his time with organizations such as Meals on Wheels, the Salvation Army, the United Way and the Horseshoe Bend High School Athletic Club. He was a member and chairman of the Tallapoosa County Board of Education and a member of the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
Cahall is the owner and president of Cahall Funeral Homes Inc. in Georgetown, Ohio. He is an active member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and has served as the association's secretary, treasurer, president-elect and president. Additionally he has volunteered his time as a member of several OFDA committees, such as the Master Trust, Benefit Trust, Finance and Audit, Nominating, Member Services, and Membership Committees, and the Allied Memorial Council.
On a national level, Cahall is currently serving as Ohio's representative to the NFDA Policy Board. He has also served NFDA as a member of the Member Resources Advisory Group and the National-State Relations and Alkaline Hydrolysis Work Groups. He is the current chair of the NFDA Governance Committee.
Cahall is an active community volunteer and has given his time to many organizations, such as the Cincinnati chapter of the Better Business Bureau, the Brown County Chamber of Commerce, St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, the Georgetown EVSD Board of Education and the Southwest Ohio Regional Board of Education.
The NFDA House of Delegates will elect the 2012-13 secretary, treasurer and president-elect when it meets during the 2012 NFDA International Convention & Expo in Charlotte, N.C. Candidate profiles can be found on the NFDA website.
Robert "Bob" T. Rosson Jr., CFSP, CPC, was elected to serve as the 2011-12 NFDA president-elect. He will automatically assume the role of NFDA president following the 2012 Convention, serving a one-year term.
