Brookfield, IL — The Trocars Motorcycle Organization held its first annual Candlelight Bowl fundraiser on February 23rd, raising nearly $3,000 to support the organization’s various philanthropic interests.
Trocars Vice President Mike Grabowski believes the event is one of the most successful in their history and they plan to continue the effort in the future. “Our members did a great job spreading the word where they work, among their families and friends. We were pretty much astonished at the turnout,” he says.
Chris Wiest, Trocars founder and president is equally pleased, commenting, “Over 150 people turned out for the event, the food was excellent and we had a lot of fun bowling. I couldn’t be happier that so many of our friends and extended family turned out to support our organization and our causes.”
Proceeds from the organization’s fundraising efforts largely support philanthropies such as the Funeral Service Foundation, children’s charities and veterans. In 2012 the Trocars donated a total of nearly $5,000. Grabowski says their goal is to do even better in 2013. “We plan to participate in or host several events this year and look forward to supporting people who really need it.”
