During the upcoming NFDA convention in Austin, Texas, Uono, a German casket company, will be exhibiting an advance screening of its revolutionary and award winning caskets at booth 1011. Andreas Spiegel, founder of Uono, said, "Our mission is to reinterpret traditional casket design." Until now, the cocoon was marketed and sold mostly throughout Europe. "We are looking forward to the expo and learning about the North American market," Spiegel said.
The Phoenix-based Foresight Companies is consulting with Uono to determine the viability of this casket throughout North America. "In my 30 years in this profession, I have never heard anyone use the phrase award winning design when referring to a casket" said Dan Isard, president of Foresight. "This casket, in my opinion, will revolutionize the casket use of baby boomers and others that want a signature casket, unlike anything anyone else has used."
When visiting the Uono booth people will be shown the two styles that the company is considering distributing throughout this continent. The Cocoon and Twin Top models are uniquely styled and have exceptional exteriors while being environmentally conscious. The booth visitors will be asked a series of questions by the booth operators, who will take the comments and the company can use this data to plan their North American distribution plan.
