DES MOINES - Don Peschke, a member of the Homesteaders Life Company Board of Directors, has been recognized as an industry innovator by Folio, a leading magazine industry resource. Peschke is the founder and president of August Home Publishing, a national magazine publishing company with headquarters in Des Moines.
Folio recognized Peschke as one of 25 “C-Level Visionaries” on its 2013 Folio: 100 list. The annual list features the magazine and media industry’s innovators and entrepreneurial thinkers. In addition to Peschke, this year’s honorees included leaders from notable media companies such as Time Inc., Bonnier Corp. and Yahoo.
“Homesteaders is proud to have Board members who demonstrate leadership in their respective industries,” says Homesteaders CEO Graham Cook. “Don Peschke’s recognition by Folio magazine speaks well of the quality of our outside board members.”
August Home Publishing was founded in 1978, and the company now publishes five titles: Woodsmith, ShopNotes, Garden Gate, Cuisine at home and My Home My Style. Folio cited Peschke’s recent achievement of launching a new digital publication using proprietary software solutions.
Peschke was elected to the Homesteaders Board of Directors in 2006. His current term is February 2010 to February 2015. Click here for more information about the Homesteaders Board of Directors and its members.
