Selected Independent Funeral Homes Executive Director to Chair Association Forum

DEERFIELD, Ill. — Selected Independent Funeral Homes’ Executive Director/CEO Rob Paterkiewicz has been named chairman of the board for Association Forum, an association of associations with nearly 4,000 members from more than 1,100 regional associations, nonprofits and supplier partner companies, Selected Independent Funeral Homes announced in a prepared release.

Paterkiewicz spoke at the Board Meeting on March 23 at the Wyndham Grand Riverfront in Chicago. His term officially began April 1.

“I am honored and humbled to serve as the 2017-2018 chair of Association Forum,” said Paterkiewicz. “We work in a profession that often goes unnoticed, but the collective strength of Association Forum’s members ensures results and leadership within the Chicago association community and the thousands of trades, industries and professions we represent.”

Both Association Forum and Selected Independent Funeral Homes are associations with long-established histories, according to the release. Association Forum, founded in 1916, celebrated its centennial milestone last year. Selected, founded in 1917, is celebrating that significant milestone with its membership at its Annual Meeting on September 10-13 at the Radisson Blu Aqua in Chicago.

Michelle Mason, Association Forum’s president/CEO, appreciates the value Paterkiewicz offers to the organization, according to the release.

“We are excited about the leadership Rob will bring to Association Forum as we prepare for the next 100 years of service to the Chicagoland community,” said Mason.
