HILTON HEAD, S.C. (March, 2017) – Charles Perine was elected District 3 director of The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards at the 113th Annual Meeting held March 1-2 at The Omni Oceanfront Resort in Hilton Head.
Perine was appointed to The Conference Board of Directors in 2016 to complete a term left by his predecessor. As District 3 director, he represents funeral service regulators from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina. He has been the executive secretary for the Alabama Board of Funeral Service since 2013, previously serving as the associate executive secretary
of the board.
Perine served on the Model Practice Act committees for The Conference, and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Alabama.
He received his degree in business administration from the University of Mobile and his degree in funeral service from Bishop State Community College.
Perine and his wife, Angelita, have two children, Tylan and Nicholas, and a dog, Bella.
