THE Matthews Cemetery Products family offers a special tribute to colleague Lisa Bijold, who passed away on July 21, 2017. Lisa was remembered in a moving service by her family and friends July 25 in Cold Spring, Minnesota. She will be greatly missed by her co-workers, clients and longtime friends in the cemetery and funeral professions.
Bijold spent 20 years in the mausoleum industry, and for the past two years was the sales manager for Matthews Gibraltar Mausoleum, a division of Matthews Cemetery Products. As a longtime industry veteran, she excelled at helping her cemetery clients design and develop mausoleums to meet the memorialization needs of the families they serve.
As the first woman to sell both community and private mausoleum in the industry, Bijold was known for her industry expertise, business acumen, comprehensive sales training, personal touch, and warm smile that put others at ease. Her colleagues at Matthews are better for having had the opportunity to work with her.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Bijold; children, Kyle Ratke, Madison and Amanda Bijold; father, Donald Laubach; brothers, Alan (Melissa) Laubach, Donald (Quitton) Laubach; in-laws, Tom and Nina Bijold, Gwendolyn Bijold, Rebbecca Ward, and her many nieces and nephews.
