FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards Inc. will hold its 114th Annual Meeting Feb. 28-March 1, 2018, at The International House Hotel in New Orleans, according to a press release.
The Conference will be “Jazzing up Regulation in The Big Easy” as presenters discuss disciplinary scandals, overcoming natural disasters, and recent regulatory cases in the news. Collaborative interaction is another feature for attendees while also learning from experts in fields such as exam development and preventable disciplinary matters.
Popular sessions, “Conference Fishbowl” and “Conference Express,” introduced last year, will be making a return in the Crescent City. “Conference Fishbowl” provides an opportunity to engage in small round table discussions with participants from all over North America while discussing attendee-submitted hot topics in a timed format. Also returning, “Conference Express,” features rapid five-minute presentations with auto-advancing slides on an array of topics from colleagues in the funeral service community. The board member training program will be offered Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 27, and continuing through Wednesday morning, Feb. 28.
The Conference is offering an early bird registration fee of $300 for members valid until Dec. 31, 2017. Attendees may complete the registration form on The Conference website or submit the form and payment via postal mail before Dec. 31 for the discounted fee. Registrations received after Jan. 1, 2018, will be $325. The nonmember registration fee is $400.
