Legacy.com Matches Donations to Funeral Service Foundation's Fund '45 Campaign

EVANSTON, Ill. – For a third year, Legacy.com, the internet's leader in obituary and related services, is supporting funeral service by matching donations to the Funeral Service Foundation, the leading public foundation dedicated in perpetuity to serve the funeral service profession.

Beginning Oct. 29, 2017 at the National Funeral Directors AssociationConvention & Expo in Boston, donations made to the Funeral Service Foundation's Fund '45 campaign will be matched by Legacy.com dollar for dollar up to $22,500.

Stopher Bartol, Founder and CEO of Legacy.com, said, “We're thrilled to partner with the Funeral Service Foundation again after the overwhelming success of last year's event. Exceeding the $45,000 goal in one day shows how generous and passionate funeral professionals are about supporting the Foundation. We're honored to have a role in supporting the future for funeral service professionals and all the communities they serve."

“Our Fund '45 giving campaign has allowed the foundation to carry forward the profession's leaders, thinkers and doers, and we're looking forward to building on that momentum with Legacy's generous dollar-for-dollar match," said Danelle O'Neill, executive director of the Funeral Service Foundation. “Fund '45 makes it easy for new donors and current supporters alike to double their impact and help the foundation support funeral service in building meaningful relationships with the families and the communities it serves."

Donations may be made on-site in NFDA Central and via the NFDA app. Donors can then celebrate their impact at the Legacy.com booth (No. 2682) by adding to the Funeral Service Foundation wall, enjoying Chicago-famous Garrett's Popcorn, and by writing their name on the Foundation's donor bench in NFDA Central. Secure online donations also may be made at FuneralServiceFoundation.org. The matching gift initiative runs through Dec. 31, 2017.
