The Undertaking" Wins Emmy Award

MILFORD, MICH. - "The Undertaking," PBS Frontline's 2007 film based on Thomas Lynch's book by the same name has won the Emmy Award for Arts & Culture Documentary presented in New York City on Sept. 22, according to a press release. David Fanning, executive producer of Frontline, accepted the award for filmmakers, Karen O'Connor and Miri Navasky. NFDA Poll Focuses on Energy Costs

BROOKFIELD, WIS. - As part of its ongoing federal advocacy efforts, the National Funeral Directors Association conducted an informal survey of its members to collect data on how rising energy costs are affecting the nation’s funeral homes. The results of the poll indicate that many funeral directors are choosing to absorb expenses related to rising fuel and energy costs, thus reducing their profit margins, rather than pass the extra expense along to the families they serve, according to a news release issued by the NFDA. read more...

Funeral Director Pleads Guilty to Murder Charges
